Knowledge, landscape and food.

At Terramay, our work begins with the soil. Across 560 hectares in Alentejo, our mission is to create a thriving ecosystem where rich, living soil produces nutrient-dense food — caring for the environment and respecting every animal in our care. We practise regenerative agriculture, allowing fruits, vegetables, grains and pastures to grow naturally: no GMO seeds, no chemicals.

Over 80% of the ingredients in every box come directly from our farm. The rest is carefully sourced from local producers who share our values. All of it made with patience and a great deal of love in Alentejo.

⚖️

Zero waste

We harvest, cook, and pack only what's needed — portions planned around the week's orders, so very little is left over to begin with.

🔄

Circular economy

What is left over never leaves the farm. It becomes compost, that compost feeds new soil, and that soil grows next season's harvest.

🌏

Minimal impact

Our meal packaging is chosen for minimal ecological impact — no unnecessary plastic.

Horta Terramay

The vegetables

Grown at the peak of the season, no GMOs or synthetic products. Over 100 varieties of vegetables, legumes, herbs and edible flowers.

Animais Terramay

The animals

Cows, pigs and chickens raised on organized free-range pasture, integrated into the balance of our 560 hectares — no antibiotics, deworming agents or synthetic products. We also rely on the wildlife of the Alentejo montado and fish from the Alqueva.

Pão da quinta Farm to Home

The farm bread

Born from seed to oven. Ancestral grains such as Barbela, Black and Yellow wheat, grown by us and milled by our partner Paulino Horta. In the kitchen, we transform the grain into sourdough breads that ferment slowly for 72 hours.

Os pomares Terramay

The orchards

Our orchards and agroforests produce wonderful fruits and nuts throughout the year, plus a superior-quality virgin olive oil from Galega olives. We've also planted a vineyard, though we'll still need to wait a few years for that.

Os Fundadores da Terramay: Anna, Thomas e David

The founders

Anna, Thomas and David

Anna, Thomas and David dreamed of creating a place where the land would be treated with the same care as the food that grows from it — a farm where regenerating the soil, nourishing people and caring for animals could go hand in hand. From that dream, Terramay was born, and from the daily work on the farm, Farm to Home was born.

Farm to Home: the simplest way to bring the result of our work, and the health of our soils, straight to your table. Simple, convenient and full of flavour.

Chef Margarida Bessa Rego

Executive Chef

Margarida Bessa Rego

Every week, Chef Margarida transforms the farm's harvest into ready-to-heat meals — fresh, no preservatives, no shortcuts. The menu changes every week because the harvest changes every week.

Meet the people who make it all happen.

From field to kitchen, a small team works every day to make sure your box arrives fresh and on time.
