These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of the Farm to Home website and services operated by Terramay | Farm to Home (“Terramay”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

By accessing the website, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional policies referenced herein.


1. The Service

Farm to Home provides freshly prepared meals through a weekly subscription-based service, delivered to customers’ homes or offices on selected delivery windows.

Meals are cooked in advance, gently pasteurised, chilled, and delivered ready to store and reheat.


2. Subscription Model

  • The service operates on a weekly subscription basis to allow responsible sourcing, fair pricing for producers, and food waste reduction.

  • Subscriptions are fully flexible and may be paused or cancelled at any time.

  • Changes, pauses, or cancellations must be communicated within the deadlines communicated on the website or by customer support.


3. Orders & Availability

  • Meals are prepared based on confirmed orders only.

  • Menu availability may vary depending on seasonality, supplier availability, or operational constraints.

  • Terramay reserves the right to modify menus or ingredients while maintaining nutritional balance and quality.


4. Delivery

Deliveries are carried out during the following time windows:

  • Wednesday: 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

  • Thursday: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm or 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

  • Friday: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm or 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Customers must ensure availability to receive the delivery within the selected time window.
Once delivered, meals must be refrigerated immediately.

Terramay is not responsible for quality issues arising from failure to receive or store meals correctly after delivery.


5. Food Safety, Storage & Shelf Life

  • Meals remain fresh in the refrigerator for up to 7 days after delivery, provided they are stored correctly.

  • Meals contain no added preservatives and rely on gentle pasteurisation and refrigeration.

  • Meals may also be frozen without issue.


6. Heating Instructions

Meals may be reheated using a microwave, oven, steamer, or pan.

Important:
Customers must always remove the Weck® lid and rubber seal before heating.

Terramay is not responsible for damage or injury resulting from improper heating or failure to follow instructions.


7. Portions

Each meal is designed to be balanced and filling, with an average portion size of approximately 500 grams.

Leftovers may be stored and reheated the following day if kept refrigerated.


8. Reusable Glass Jars

8.1 Ownership

Meals are delivered in reusable glass jars owned by Terramay.
The jars are not sold and are provided solely for use within the service.

8.2 Exchange System

The service operates on a jar exchange model:

  • Jars from previous deliveries must be returned at the next delivery.

  • This system supports Terramay’s sustainability commitments.

8.3 Cancellation, Return or Payment

In the event of subscription cancellation or prolonged pause, customers must return the jars by choosing one of the following options:

a) Return the jars in person or by post to the address communicated by Terramay; or
b) Pay a fee of €5 per jar, after which the jars may be kept for personal use.

Terramay reserves the right to contact customers to organise jar collection or payment.


9. Communications

By placing an order or creating an account, customers authorise Terramay to contact them via:

  • Email

  • Telephone

  • WhatsApp

for purposes including:

  • Delivery coordination

  • Subscription management

  • Operational updates

  • Customer support


10. WhatsApp Communications

By creating a user account, customers explicitly agree to receive WhatsApp messages related to:

  • The weekly menu

  • Subscription management (pauses, confirmations, changes)

Customers may opt out of non-essential WhatsApp messages at any time.
Messages strictly necessary for service execution may still be sent.


11. Pricing & Payments

  • Prices are displayed on the website and may change from time to time.

  • Payments are processed securely via Shopify and authorised payment providers.

  • Discounts or promotional codes are subject to specific conditions and may be time-limited.


12. Cancellations & Refunds

Due to the nature of fresh food preparation:

  • Orders already prepared or delivered are non-refundable, except where required by law.

  • Issues must be reported promptly upon delivery.


13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Terramay shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages.

  • Liability is limited to the value of the affected order.

  • Terramay is not responsible for delays or failures caused by force majeure events.


14. Intellectual Property

All content on the website, including text, images, branding, and logos, is the property of Terramay and may not be used without prior written consent.


15. Changes to the Terms

Terramay may update these Terms at any time.
Updated versions will be published on the website and take effect upon publication.


16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts.
